And speaking of former Flagpole music editors, in the same issue Chris Hassiotis has a story about New York songstress Miwa Gemini, who recorded her new album here in Athens with Andy Baker. How’s that for name-dropping?

Reminiscent of ’90s twee act Heavenly, Y/Our Sparkle Heart plays uplifting, indie folk rock with a cello that could break your heart.
