A parade and free shows!

Here's a press release from Jomo Entertainment that we just got our hands on:

The Dirty Dozen Brass Band and North Mississippi All Stars are both scheduled for in-store appearances at School Kids Records to take place before their shows at the Georgia Theatre later that night. The Dirty Dozen Brass Band plans to march in the style of a New Orleans parade from the Arches (located on Broad Street and College Ave at the edge of UGA Campus and downtown) to School Kids Records on 264 E. Clayton Street. The parade will begin at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 24, and is scheduled to arrive at School Kids Records by 5 p.m. They will perform a brief live set and then sign autographs for the fans. The next day the North Mississippi All Stars will perform live at the same record store and then sign autographs for the fans. The North Mississippi All Stars in-store performance is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.

The North Mississippi All Stars and the Dirty Dozen Brass Band will both be performing live at the Georgia Theatre on Fri, Sept 24 and Sat, Sept 25. Rising Star Fife & Drum will kick things off both nights at 9 p.m. with Dirty Dozen Brass Band to follow. Tickets are $15 in advance and are still available at School Kids Records, Junkman's Daughter's Brother, or charge by phone at (706) 353-1666.
