Another Florida jamfest

Gotta get the early word out, so that hippies can mark their Palm Pilots and make sure that dad has the Expedition gassed up. Not to mention securing a nitrous hook-up. In all seriousness, May will be here before you know it, and Tampa isn’t a bad road trip if you’re into the likes of Tishamingo, Dubconscious, Keller Williams and Dingo Love Machine (I did not make that last one up, but it should’ve been in that Flagpole issue where Ort made up a slew of band names. It'a all happening at the Uphonia Music Festival.

Here’s the official press release ...

Just situated northeast of Tallahassee, Florida in the town of Quincy the Spanish Moss Farm is a gorgeous 450 acre family owned farm with large grassy fields, vast forests with many trails, plentiful tree and car camping areas and more. This little piece of heaven will host 3 days of amazing music and camping. There will be a children's tent which will be filled with activities for ages 2-12. What would a festival be without crafts? Uphonia will host a wide variety of quality vendors with all sorts of handmade crafts and goods.

Uphonia Music Festival is being produced by Ted Freed of Rising Jupiter, which is a promotions, managment, booking, and financial planning company that has been putting on shows in the Tampa area for the last two years. Freed is known most for helping many bands build their followings in Florida. One thing which makes Uphonia so special is that it features many of these bands that Rising Jupiter has been working with these past few years.
