Vic review, Music Midtown lineup

Yes, more Vic Chesnutt/"Ghetto Bells" love from the press. Pop Matters says, "Chesnutt has rarely sounded better himself, expressing a full array of vivid and contrasting emotional states."

Music Midtown is around the corner, and the line-up is one of the best in years. Tom Petty, White Stripes, Lou Reed, The Pixies. Locals of note include Five-Eight (who also headline next week's Human Rights Festival in Athens), Psychic Hearts, and Modern Skirts (who you can check out tonight at the UGA track on Lumpkin at 8ish). Unfortunately, Loretta Lynn has cancelled her Midtown appearance. So much for the potential collaboration with that fella' from the White Stripes. I wonder what happened? Could it be Satan?

Do you think anyone will be at the 40 Watt this evening?
