A 'kick-ass' video opportunity

I've received some correspondence from SCG Productions, an Atlanta-area video production company, that might be of interest to local bands. The company has done a lot of commericals, documentaries and movies, and they want to do a "kick-ass" music video to add to their resume and they're willing to do it at cost. Yes, for a grand or so, you could get a professional music video that might cost upwards of $50,000 to produce.

From Tiffany Farmer, a producer with SCG, who you can contact at sanctifiedcrackgorilla@yahoo.com if you have questions:

"Not to toot our own horn, but we've done some really cool things with commercials and such. This would be a killer opportunity for someone. We would, of course, have to be really intrigued by the artist's work and are looking for an "up-and-comer" that we could get over the hump with a cool video. It would be a win-win for us and the artist.

Bands interested should send a demo with their 2 most marketable &/or creative songs to: ...

College Park GA 30349

A little info about the band and contact info should also be included. The cost of the video would probably run $1000-5000 depending on how elaborate the concept is. For this amount we would hopefully deliver a video that would normally cost 50 grand or so.

If an artist really strikes us right & they don't have any cash, we would seriously consider paying for everything. Taking a small loss like this will pay off if we do a kick ass video & it leads to a bigger gig later. Also, if the artist breaks, they'd hopefully want us to do their later videos, which the label could spring for (if an artist is already signed to a label that's fine too, of course).

Also, depending on the song, there may be no need for any costs. Some concepts require virtually no set building (like driving around on the back of a semi or something)."
