Riser, Of Montreal, Sloan, Elf Power

Summer Hymns bassist and all around interesting fella' Chris Riser has unveiled side-project Magovista on Myspace. Hear a song about a time traveling spaceman, or something to that effect here.

Sloan Simpson (the hardest working man in showbiz) gets a shout-out from LBH for taping the Undertow Orchestra at the 40 Watt (2-10-06) and the 2-11-06 Bittorrent Brunch features Patterson Hood & the Screwtopians and Vic Chesnutt, and a previously offered Elf Power set.

You know this. Old news. You're going. I envy you. The Shins invited Elf Power (and The Black Keys and Dungen and The Decemberists and...) to All Tommorrow's Parties.
