Summer sustenance: Zachary Gresham's penchant for composing some of the most accessible and endearing pop music ever to be buried alive in a fuzzy psychedelic haze has taken shape in his band Summer Hymns (playing at Clicker on Friday). Accompanied by bassist Chris Riser and fellow founding member drummer Philip Brown in a slimmed-down-yet-muscular three-piece, Gresham has guided the group through a handful of critically acclaimed albums, wholesale lineup changes and the occasional tour from sea to shining sea. WUOGWUOG's 'Live in the Lobby' releases CD: The University of Georgia's student-run radio station, WUOG-FM 90.5, is releasing the third CD of music performed by local bands on the station's long-running live music show "Live in the Lobby." Don Chambers and Goat, Hope For Agoldensummer, Coulier and 13 more acts appear on the album's 17 tracks. Full story.
