Done with the Left Coast
The band finished its opening shows of the "Around the Sun" tour over the weekend, and move the the Midwest tomorrow for a show in St. Louis. From the reviews, it appears that it's an extension of the "In Time" tour, with a few new songs thrown into the mix.
Here are a couple of show reviews:
San Fransciso Chronicle: "R.E.M. preaches to the happily converted at its sold-out Greek Theatre show"
Contra Costa Times: "R.E.M. rocks unafraid"
Reuters/Billboard: "R.E.M. Thinking Small for Headlining Tour"
And here are a few more "ATS" reviews:
Gainesville (Ga.) Times: "R.E.M.'s 'Around the Sun' gets better with each listen"
St. Louis Post-Dispatch: "R.E.M. losing their religion, tackling politics"
